Frequently Asked Questions
How do I access the Recreation
Center and tennis courts?
When you moved to Rabbit Run, the previous owner of your residence should
have passed along a plastic black "key" with a serial number on
it. This "Sonitrol" key allows you to access the recreation
center and tennis courts. If you did not receive a key, please contact the
management company at 312-3710 or by e-mail at rabbit.run@insightbb.com.
I lost my Sonitrol key. How do I
get another one?
Call the managing agent at 312-3710. Replacement keys are $15 each.
I want to rent the recreation
center for a party. What do I need to do?
First, check the Rabbit Run website recreation center calendar page to check
on availability. If your date is still available, complete the rental agreement
form, also accessible through the website calendar page, and forward it and the
$200 deposit and $25 or $75 rental fee checks to the management company.
Contact the management company at 312-3710 for details. The center is only
available for rental to members in good standing.
I am new to Rabbit Run and need
to set up garbage collection service. Which service do you
recommend?
Rabbit Run is not within the urban
service area that provides local government-operated garbage collection and
recycling services or leaf collection. The Rabbit Run Homeowner's Association
and board are not permitted to endorse garbage collection or recycling
services. Contact these private services directly to obtain pricing and
other information.
Why aren't pool passes
distributed in November when annual dues payments are made?
Pool passes are distributed for each
family a few weeks before the pool opens (Memorial Day weekend) so that we can
ensure the passes are produced using the most up-to-date homeowners association
member listing. We do have residents moving in and out of the neighborhood
between November and May, and since the passes are ONLY needed to access the
pool in the summer, waiting to distribute these in late spring is more
prudent. Watch for a pool pass form to complete and return in early
spring.
Why are annual dues paid in
November?
When the Rabbit Run Homeowner's
Association was established, the legal documents that were created outlined how
the association would operate, and at that time dues were determined to be due
in November. Since that time the board has worked to provide some partial
payment options for residents so that they may pay dues in increments, as long
as dues in full are paid by November 1.
When are board meetings?
Association board meetings are held the
fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the recreation center in the
multi-purpose room. All members are invited to attend.
Do all residents in Rabbit Run
pay for the small lake behind some of the homes behind Comanche Trail and
Blenheim?
No. Association dues do not support
the operation of the fountain or maintenance of it or the lake. Those
expenses are covered solely by the property owners whose properties back up to
the lake.
Is the new subdivision of
four-unit condominiums at Fort Harrods Drive and Harrodsburg Road part of our
association?
No. The Villages of Rabbit Run, developed
by Atchison-Heller, is not affiliated with the Rabbit Run Homeowner's
Association. The development has its own set of rules and regulations and
will have its own clubhouse.
I may be interested in joining
the board. What do I need to do?You are encouraged to attend a board
meeting or contact any board member for more
information. Board members reside in the neighborhood and volunteer their
time to help make Rabbit Run an even better place to live.
Who is our city councilperson?
Rabbit Run is located in the ninth council district of the Lexington-Fayette
Urban County Government. Our current council representative is Jay
McChord.

My teenager may be interested in
operating the concession stand at the pool. Whom should she call?
Call the Rabbit Run management company, Lancho Management Group, at (859)
312-3710. The person operating the concession stand is not an employee of the
Association or the management company. S/he must purchase all food and
beverages for sale, establish prices and schedule, and coordinate all
